Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival in Hanoi, Vietnam’s bustling colonial capital, meet by travel-to-nature Asia representative/guide outside the baggage claim of Noi Bai Airport and take you to your hotel. Please look out for your name-card once you exit out of arrival area.

In the afternoon, take a walk around the centre, visiting some of Hanoi’s main attractions: the Opera House, Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. In the evening enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Performance – a unique Vietnamese art form hailing from Southeast Asia’s wet-rice culture – followed by a welcome dinner at one of Hanoi’s finest restaurants.

The first day of your adventure tour Vietnam starts by be picked up from your hotel in Hanoi for transferring to Sapa. Arrive at Sapa town at approximately 12:30 PM where you meet your local tour guide and have lunch in the local restaurant. You will commence your journey from Sapa on walk to the hill tribe villages of Lao Chai, home to the H’mong ethnic minority people. As you walk through the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa, you will meet some of the local minority people on their way to and from Sapa. You will stop for lunch at a local house. You will then trek through terraced
rice fields from Lao Chai to Ta Van Village belonging to the Giay ethnic minority community. In the village, you will have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with the families that live in the area.

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Sapa, where you can explore the town and its surrounding natural beauty
at your own pace. You may spend time wandering around Sapa town, visiting local cafés, markets,
and enjoying the cool mountain atmosphere. For a more iconic experience, consider taking a cable
car to the summit of Fansipan – the highest peak in Indochina – for spectacular panoramic views.

Today we’ll leave Sapa in favour of Vietnam’s final frontier, Ha Giang. On the way we’ll make a stop at Pho Rang for lunch before we have a walking tour to Vinh Yen inhabited by Tay communities.

We continue our drive deeper into Ha Giang, enjoying the spectacular scenery along the way, before finally reaching the Tay village for another walk where we will spend the night around 6pm, just in time for a home-cooked dinner. You’ll stay overnight in this traditional Tay stilt house.

Once we have purchased the mandatory permit at the Immigration Office, you will begin the journey to Dong Van following a spectacular series of passes which wind through the mountains and valleys. En route you enjoy exceptional views of the rolling landscape and interesting flora and fauna. After that, we will have Lunch in the small mountain town of Tam Son visiting the villages of the H’mong Lung Cam B. You will have the chance to see the former palace of the H’mong King, Vuong Chinh Duc who was an ally of the French. You will arrive in Dong Van around 18:00 where you will have dinner at a local restaurant and spend the night in a hotel.

After breakfast, you can visit the weekly Dong Van Market ( if today is sunday) to meet the local
people and peruse the fascinating ion of handmade goods and speciality produce. You will then
climb up above the town to Pu Lo, a French fortress built in 1890 and kept in great condition. After exploring the fortress and the incredible views it offers, you will hit the road to experience one of the most spectacular roads in the whole of Vietnam. At an elevation of 2000 meters, the Ma Pi Leng Pass clings to the side of the undulating mountains, giving unrivalled views of the valleys and terraced hemp fields, which decorate the mountainsides. You will zigzag down into Meo Vac Valley for lunch,
before heading to Bao Lac town on a snake road, we then visit Lo Lo ethnic village.

Today we will take you along our secret route, a small road snaking through gorgeous valleys until
reaching Ba Be National Park. On arrival at the Boc Lom pier, you will learn how to paddle a kayak on
rivers, take dry bags, sports equipment and life jackets… From here, you will continue to travel down
the Nang River to explore the huge Puong cave by boat and kayaking. Then, you will cross the Nang
River and pass through some steep terrain with many cat ears cliffs. We can return to Ba Be Lake by
motorboat. Swimming is available here. Get to Mr Linh’s Ba Be – Jungle Lake house and enjoy your night with BBQ dinner.

Pick you up at your homestay. Brief introduction and preparation are here. After a thirty-minute drive, you’ll reach Tham Phay Cave, the hike starts with a steep uphill leading into the forest. Some rock at the top, and then a similar slope before the trail fades and you enter the valley. Turning west of the trail is a large patch of rock for you to find your way through, with the help and
direction of your guide and safety team. The precarious entrance is at the end of the forest. Enjoy some snacks before starting to explore the cave.

Tham Phay Cave is a beautiful stream cave with two underground river tributaries, where you will experience narrow passages, craggy mountains and some deep pools with very nice photo opportunities. Plants and algae cover many calcite formations. Going deeper into the cave, you will find many unusual features of the cave such as the ceiling dome and many layers of rock, giving the walls a striking appearance. You will spend about five hours exploring this 5km deep river cave, which geologists have not discovered so far. Of course, we will provide you with the necessary equipment, such as helmets and powerful headlights. The cave expands considerably as you go through the original entrance and offers some great opportunities for excellent photos.

Enjoy a few snacks before continuing the journey to explore the 2nd path of the cave system that possesses miraculous stalagmites millions of years old, dangerous sinkholes and heat flows at the bottom. Leaving Tham Phay, you will return to the cave entrance and return to the original pick uppoint.

Breakfast at our homestay. Begin a beautiful journey in Ba Be National Park from Bo Lu village. A guided conversation on local wildlife and flowers will expand your awareness of the unique Ba Be ecosystem as you walk through the beautiful jungle. Reach Tham Khit pathways to an ancient cave – wandering around the lake to the panoramic views of the ranger station’s animal observation huts.Continue your hike for another 2 kilometers to An Ma temple, a sacred Tay temple dedicated to mountain gods, lake gods, and feudal generals. Have lunch and enjoy your time in Ba Be National Park.

The next destination on our trip is Cao Bang Town. We set off on our half day journey past spectacular mountainous landscapes, with a mixture of steep terraced rice fields and hill villages. Along the way, we can make stops at our leisure, to stretch our legs and take some wonderful photographs.

After enjoying breakfast, you will depart for Trung Khanh which lies right on the border with China.
The first stop is Phia Thap village, a Nung community famous for making incense for more than 100 years. You will have another chance to meet and interact with the local Nung people living in the village of Phuoc Sen, a mountainous village famous for its traditional blacksmithing. The farming tools made here are an integral part of the lifestyle which is evident in the surrounding rice paddies and fields. Nestled amongst these amazing landscapes is the breathtaking Ban Gioc Waterfall which spans over 300 meters, split half and half between Vietnam and China. You’ll get some time here to simply take in the amazing atmosphere surrounding the falls, which presents an excellent opportunity for some fantastic photography.

Enjoy a full day trekking in the scenic Quây Sơn area, known for its stunning limestone mountains, peaceful river views, and unspoiled countryside.

The walk takes you through local villages, rice fields, and along the riverbanks, offering opportunities to experience daily life and interact with ethnic communities. Along the way, take in the tranquil landscapes and enjoy the fresh air of this remote region.
In the afternoon, conclude the trek and transfer to Lang Son.

After breakfast, depart from Lang Son for a scenic drive to Ha Long Bay, which takes approximately 4 to 4.5 hours through the picturesque landscapes of the Red River Delta.

Upon arrival at the pier around noon, you will check in and board your overnight cruise. Enjoy a welcome drink and a short briefing while the boat begins its journey into the bay.Lunch is served on board as the cruise sails past the breathtaking limestone karsts rising from emerald waters. In the afternoon, you can take part in various activities such as kayaking, a sampan boat ride, visiting caves or floating villages, or swimming if weather conditions permit. Later in the day, return to the cruise to relax on deck and enjoy the sunset over the bay. You may also join a cooking demonstration before dinner is served, featuring a selection of Vietnamese and international cuisine. In the evening, you can try squid fishing or simply unwind in the peaceful atmosphere on board.

After an early wake-up, start your day with a refreshing Tai Chi session on the sundeck, surrounded by the peaceful scenery of Lan Ha Bay. Enjoy the tranquil morning atmosphere before having breakfast on board as the cruise continues its journey through the stunning limestone formations. You may then join a light activity such as kayaking, visiting a nearby cave, or simply relaxing while taking in the views. The boat gradually returns towards Ha Long Bay as brunch is served. Around late morning, disembark at the pier and meet your driver for the transfer to Ninh Binh. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure amidst the serene countryside and dramatic karst landscapes.

After breakfast, You will be collected from your hotel,and you will begin your journey in Ninh Binh. You will pay a visit to Hoa Lu – the ancient capital of Vietnam. Here you will visit two temples dedicated to the two kings: King Dinh and King Le. These temples showcase the unique architecture of ancient Vietnam. Continue the tour for 1 hour – cycling around the village to discover the life of the local people. Have lunch at a loal restaurant. Next, head to Mua Cave (Dancing Cave). Ascend almost 500 steps to reach the top of Lying Dragon Mountain, where an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc awaits. Get on the car continue going to Van Long wharf for taking the sampan to visit Van Long Nature Reserve.

Spend your final morning exploring Hanoi with a half-day city tour. Visit some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (from outside), One Pillar Pagoda, and the historic Temple of Literature – Vietnam’s first university. Continue to explore the charming Old Quarter, known for its narrow streets and vibrant local life. After the tour, transfer to the airport for
your departure flight.

    We had excellent trip all in all! In Vietnam the people are most friendly and helpful, the food is very good and you can see and visit so many different places. The nature is so green. Also in the end of the trip swimming in the Cat Ba Island Resort was really relaxing after visiting so many different & wonderful places!
