We strongly advise to all travelers to buy a travel insurance coverage before embarking on a trip.

While your travel insurance company may offer various plans we recommend you have coverage for trip cancellation, baggage lost/delay, emergency medical (accidents, health), emergency evacuation,  theft of or damage to baggage or personal effects.

In Nepal all costs for emergency evacuation must be paid in cash unless an insurance company has agreed to pay on your behalf. Also, it is important to note that any insurance policy issued to cover emergency evacuation for a trek also include alpinism or mountaineering.
